Girlhood

In the summer of 2020 I met four girls in a remote mountain village in East Tyrol, Austria. The teenagers, on the cusp of puberty, created their own universe every day, letting me be a part of their group. In tune with traditional imprints and far from demographic change, Girlhood is a work about growing up and the seemingly eternal summer on the threshold of adulthood.
This series was developed during an Artist Residency in Austria, HERE you can purchase a limited edition fine art print of the series. In 2022 it was own view at Sprengel Museum Hannover, Kunstwerkstatt Lienz and the year before at Fotogalerie Friedrichshain.
